This camp allows teens to explore their creative sides! Students enhance their portfolios with immersive, hands-on projects and learn how to discuss art, describe their work, and give and receive constructive critiques.
This year, projects are inspired by the theme “Feeling Connected.” Students will create:
- Collage dioramas depicting how they see the world—past, present, or future.
- Mixed media self-portraits that incorporate photography, collage, drawing, and painting.
- 3D wood sculptures depicting strengths, values, and dreams.
On the last day of camp, Friday from 2–3pm, Strathmore welcomes families to a student artwork showcase and reception.
Strathmore’s art camps are directed by Rosana Azar of Creative Adventures.

After taking great care in considering the options based on the most up-to-date health and safety information, we plan to host students in person this summer.
Students must provide proof of full vaccination (two shots) or submit negative tests. Students without proof of vaccination must submit a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the first day of camp, then provide a negative antigen test on Wednesday and Friday. Proof of vaccination will be submitted through the Google registration form. Negative antigen tests can be emailed each Wednesday and Friday morning to klaakso@strathmore.org. Images of the antigen test results should include a timestamp or be taken with a time/date indicator in the background.
You can also learn about the campus-wide steps Strathmore has taken for visitor health, including updated cleaning protocols, the installation of special air filters, and more.
These plans are subject to change based on health regulations. We will communicate all plans and any changes with parents well in advance of camp and will provide detailed information in the camper packets.

Strathmore aims to make education experiences like Art Camp as financially accessible as possible, and we are able to offer a limited number of partial tuition scholarships.
Please note that because our goal is to provide partial assistance to as many people as possible, we almost always provide partial scholarships rather than full. Scholarship support can also be applied toward Kids Aftercare/Teen Late Pickup, Monday through Thursday until 5:30pm.
To apply, please send an email explaining your family’s need for assistance, your child’s interest in the program, and your requested support amount to education@strathmore.org.

Camp ends at 3pm each day. Late pickup is available Monday–Thursday, from 3–5:30pm, for $76 total.
Teens will be allowed to stay in the Mansion or on the immediate grounds with easy access to reach a staff member, but activities will not be provided.
The fee covers all four days, but you are welcome to pick up your student before 5:30pm on any day. On Friday, the last day of camp, families are invited to a reception at 2pm. There is no late pickup on Friday.
