Creating something unique often means breaking the rules. Using his own augmented instrument as a template, pianist James Fernando will guide you through an essential part of the creative process—challenging your medium.

This workshop will help you unlock your own fresh ideas by showing you how to identify restrictive thought patterns and break free of their constraints.

The Mansion is located on Rockville Pike (Route 355), half a mile north of the Capital Beltway (I-495).
Parking for events and exhibitions in the Mansion is free in the Mansion lot on a space available basis. Additional parking is available in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Garage.
Strathmore is adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore station on Metro’s Red Line.
