Hailed as “a brilliant and charismatic advocate for modern and contemporary composers” by Time Out New York, Sarah Cahill has commissioned and premiered over 70 compositions for solo piano from contemporary composers like Terry Riley, Julia Wolfe, and Roscoe Mitchell. Cahill's discography includes more than 20 albums, and her latest project, The Future is Female, is a 3-album series that explores and reframes the works of women composers from the 17th century to the present. Cahill hosts the weekly NPR radio show Revolutions Per Minute, is a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and frequently delivers pre-concert talks with the San Francisco Symphony and the LA Phil.
