Pardon My French! began as a collaboration between NYC swing guitarist Pete Rozé and Memphis-born actress/singer Caroline Fourmy. They loved the sound of Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet tunes and soon expanded their repertoire to include Serge Gainsbourg, Eartha Kitt, and Pink Martini favorites. With the addition of New Orleans native and traditional jazz star Joshua Gouzy on bass and classical composer, accordion, and world music aficionado Michael Ward-Bergeman on accordion, the quartet began playing house concerts and intimate venues throughout New Orleans. The group brings not only their vintage New Orleans sound but also their sense of humor, theatrical warmth, and thematic aesthetics to their one-of-a-kind performances.
After a pandemic hiatus, Pardon My French! made their New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival debut in 2022, and they are thrilled to return to the Strathmore Mansion for another memorable performance in an intimate venue.
