Electrifying and inventive, Invoke is a multi-instrument quartet blending bluegrass, folk, and jazz for a style of music that is holistically Americana. Taking inspiration from the music of Appalachia, the members of Invoke sing and play their way through dynamic compositions on fretted instruments, often familiar tunes but as bold new takes. The contemporary fervor of their music caught the attention of the University of Texas at Austin, where they were the Young Professional String Quartet in Residence from 2016 to 2018. They were also Strathmore Artists in Residence in 2015. The group has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Phillips Collection, and Green Music Center. Their many collaborations and commissions have furnished a versatile career cementing them as some of the most exciting instrumentalists in the Americana field.
