Ars Gratia Populi is Latin for “art for the people’s sake,” a gesture of what this choir upholds in the music they sing. Directed by Kevin Elam, an All-Ireland champion singer, the vocal sextet combines the technical excellence of a chamber choir with the relaxed, accessible presentation of a folk group. This approach to the choral style brings a communal aspect to their celebration of human expression and voice. For a Renaissance Christmas, this ensemble performs beloved carols with the zeal and cheer audiences hope for during the holiday season.
