The 3-time Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir originated in Soweto, the heart of Nelson Mandela’s democratic movement, toward the end of South African apartheid. HOPE commemorates South Africa’s Freedom Movement with the songs that inspired the Rainbow Nation and calls back to the American Civil Rights movement with tributes to Billie Holiday, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and more. This special performance will also include a few holiday favorites to bring some extra HOPE and joy to your holiday season. The Soweto Gospel Choir has moved audiences around the world with their blend of African gospel, freedom songs, and international classics performed by some of South Africa’s best vocalists.
