Strathmore and our partners are preparing a music-and art-filled party for our community. Activities include:

- Gel Print-Making Station – all-ages fun with Strathmore Visual Arts
- Giant coloring wall with Hiba Alyawer – artists of all ages can contribute to this community piece!
- Button-making and tile mosaics with Arts on the Block
Music and Dance Activities
- Hula hoop workshops with Baltimore Hoop Love
- All-ages Go-Go dance workshop with Beat Ya Feet
- Exploring musical genres with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra
- Making Latin percussion instruments, and "Musical fruit" sound making with fruits and computers with Kid Museum
Performances around the Music Center
- Student String Quartet from Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras
- Stilt walker Jes Raschella
- La Marvela – dance the day away with this all-female Cumbia band
- Classical violin soloist from NatPhil
Plus, a sensory break room and cozy reading corner with Montgomery County Public Libraries.
The whole Music Center will come alive with fun for all ages!
Tips for a great party!
- Festivities begin at 11am and roll throughout the day. We encourage you to plan the timing of your visit based on one of our free Concert Hall performances (see below for timing and RSVP.)
- Arrive before or stay after the show to explore activations and activities throughout the Music Center.
- Dining options including kid-friendly snacks and lunch will be available. Menu details will be shared in an email to registrants before the event.

Inez Barlatier and Justin Roberts
11:30am & 2:30pm
Inez Barlatier, a Miami native of Haitian descent, brings Ayisyen culture to life through vibrant drumming, singing, and dance. Her energetic performances, steeped in Haitian traditions, engage audiences in Kreyòl phrases and rhythms that celebrate community and gratitude.
Five-time Grammy nominee Justin Roberts creates feel-good, rock-infused songs for families. His latest album, Space Cadet, explores themes of inclusion and self-discovery, inviting kids and adults alike to dance along while embracing individuality and joy.
Kattam and his Tam-Tams
1pm & 4pm
Kattam, a Quebeçois-Moroccan percussionist, brings a global fusion of rhythms to life through his energetic show, Kattam and his Tam-Tams. With training in African, Cuban, Indian, and Moroccan percussion, Kattam's performances blend music, movement, and storytelling. From African rap and desert dance to trance Sufi rhythm and Bollywood dance, Kattam and his monkey, Takoum, take you on an incredible multicultural adventure!
