Boney James is a four-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist and composer with a career spanning over three decades. Mixing smooth jazz, R&B, and funk, he has earned accolades including a Soul Train Award and multiple NAACP Image Award nominations. In 2024, James became the first artist to achieve 20 number-one singles on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart.
His latest release, Slow Burn, features collaborations with artists like Marcus Miller and rising R&B vocalist October London. Tracks such as “Arcadia” and the title song highlight his dynamic saxophone sound, while reimagined classics like Herbie Hancock’s “Butterfly” showcase his versatility. Slow Burn builds on the momentum of his previous chart-topping albums, Solid and Detour, marking another evolution in his storied career.

Community Access Tickets
We offer tickets under $30 for all Strathmore Presents programs in the Music Center. For this performance, $28 tickets are in the final rows of the Orchestra Tier. They are available through the standard purchase path on a first-come, first-served basis.
