The Sweater Set showcases enchanting soprano-alto harmonies stemming from the lifelong friendship between Maureen Andary and Sara Curtin, cultivated in a Washington, DC church choir. Formed in 2009, this musical duo is renowned for their charming presence and exploration of themes like love and loss. Winner of multiple Wammie Awards, The Sweater Set has toured extensively in Ireland, the UK, and the US, opening for renowned artists such as Dar Williams and Aoife O'Donovan. Andary and Curtin are alumni of Strathmore's Artists in Residence program and were recently recognized as Artist Fellows by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities.
