Live music is back at Strathmore!

Designed to provide a spacious yet intimate experience, The Patio Stage features socially distanced tables that seat up to 4 people. This allows plenty of space for you and your pod in a venue that seats just 124.

The Patio Stage’s lineup highlights what Strathmore does best—you’ll find music’s brightest names, like Wynton Marsalis, The Lone Bellow, Sophia Rei, and Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers; revel in contemporary and chamber music; soak in international sounds; and be introduced to your new favorite musician from our Artists in Residence program.

Patio Stage FAQ

The Patio Stage is a covered, open-air venue on the Music Center’s Trawick Terrace.
Tickets are sold as pods, each with a table and 4 seats. Guests can fill all 4 of the table’s seats or enjoy the additional space for fewer guests.
There are 31 physically distanced tables in the venue with a maximum seating capacity of 124. Each table is 6 feet apart. View the seating chart.
Performances last 60–70 minutes and will not have intermissions. This format allows us to accommodate 2 shows per night which keeps audiences small while fairly compensating artists. Two shows also offer a spacious experience for guests while minimizing gathering around the venue and restrooms.

The Music Center at Strathmore including the lobbies, check-in tent, and Ticket Office open 30 minutes prior to show time.
Guests sharing a table must arrive together for seating. Your party will receive a table assignment upon arrival at the check-in tent.
Ticketholders will pass through a contactless scanning station with their full party present and enter the Music Center briefly to access The Patio Stage for seating.
Seating begins 15 minutes prior to show time.
If available, artist merchandise can be purchased (with credit card only) before and after the performance.
Restrooms are available in the Music Center lower lobby before and during the show but are closed after each performance. This allows our team to clean the restrooms between performances.
Coat check and stroller check are not available.

Events at the Patio Stage are rain or shine.
In the event of severe inclement weather, the performance may be moved inside.
If the event is moved inside, guests will be physically distanced.
If a performance must be cut short due to severe weather, you may receive a partial refund of your ticket price.

Concessions are not available at Patio Stage performances. We suggest visiting some of the fantastic nearby restaurants before or after the show.
If you choose to bring your own refreshments to enjoy at your table during the performance, please plan to carry out what you carry in.
Alcohol is not permitted.

Strathmore is located on Rockville Pike (Route 355), half a mile north of the Capital Beltway (I-495).
Complimentary parking for Patio Stage events is in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage off Tuckerman Lane.
The Drop Off Circle entrance, located off Tuckerman Lane, is available for guests who would like to drop off members of their party prior to parking in the Metro Garage.
Members at the 2 Star level and above can park in the Mansion lot when attending select shows at The Patio Stage and must display their VIP Parking Pass.
Strathmore is adjacent to the Grosvenor-Strathmore station on Metro’s Red Line.
Valet and golf cart services are not available.

In accordance with Montgomery County’s updated indoor mask policy, Strathmore is requiring masks inside all of our facilities. You may remove your mask when seated at your table.
Be sure to maintain a distance of 6 feet or more between households or groups when not in assigned seats.
Wash and sanitize your hands frequently. Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the venue.
If you have COVID-19, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, know you have been exposed to COVID-19, or are feeling sick, please stay home.
Our team members have received special training on CDC guidelines and the PPE necessary to protect our guests.

Our long-held, generous ticket exchange policy means you never have to worry when buying tickets to a future show. During these uncertain times, we’re making it even easier to request a refund or exchange.
Free exchanges and refunds are allowed up to 48 hours before the performance. You can exchange your tickets for a $5 fee (waived for Stars & Circles members) within the 48 hours before a performance.
If a show is cancelled or postponed, ticket refunds will always be available.
