TIPS FOR A GREAT VISIT

Keep up to date on all the ways to have a great time on our lawn.

Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, the concert will take place inside the Concert Hall at the Music Center.

Please come early to secure your seat, as we have received more RSVPs than we have individual seats in the Concert Hall. Once the room is full, we will invite patrons to listen from the orchestra lobby.

In order to accommodate as many people as possible, we ask that you do not leave seats in between parties. Please slide all the way down to the end of your chosen row and take a seat next to your neighbors.

Led by founder Gregory “Sugar Bear” Elliott, EU (Experience Unlimited) achieved global fame in 1988 with their Grammy-nominated hit "Da Butt." The single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Black Singles Chart, earning the DC-based group a Soul Train Award for Best New Artist and leading to performances with legends like Run-DMC and Salt-N-Pepa.

EU featuring Sugar Bear has maintained prominence in the local go-go scene for over 40 years, appearing at prestigious events like the 2016 National Museum of African American History and Culture opening and winning the 2013 Wammies Lifetime Achievement Award.

TIPS FOR A GREAT VISIT

The Gudelsky Gazebo is located directly across the driveway from the Mansion.
Parking is in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage off Tuckerman Lane and is payable by SmarTrip or credit card.
Members at the Two Star level and above can park in the Mansion lot when attending Live from the Lawn events. Upon entry, please display your VIP Parking Pass on your dashboard and follow the instructions from security personnel. View more detailed information here.

Accessible parking is available in the Mansion lot on a first-come, first-served basis. A government-issued disability placard or plate is required. Enter the Mansion lot at 10701 Rockville Pike, at the low brick walls that say “Strathmore.”

NEW! Order a pre-made dinner basket and drinks before the show. Choose from an assortment of curated meal boxes and beverage add-ons for a customized concert-side feast. Preorders must be made by noon the day of the performance and can be picked up in the Allegro Kitchen in the Music Center. Order your basket here.
There will also be a BBQ tent where our team will be serving a variety of tasty food and drinks for purchase on site. View a sample menu.
Ben & Jerry’s will have ice cream options available for purchase to satisfy your sweet tooth, weather permitting.
You're welcome to BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Outside alcohol is not permitted on property.

Low-rise chairs and blankets welcome.
We discourage the use of high chairs, but if you choose to bring one, please be considerate and sit toward the back of the lawn. Our team will ask those in higher chairs to move back if seated in a location that will block others’ view of the stage.
While we are not limiting capacity on the lawn, we encourage you to be mindful of other guests and provide space whenever possible.
Pets and comfort/emotional support animals are not permitted at Live from the Lawn events.
Trained Service Animals are permitted.

We encourage you to RSVP to receive updates. In case of inclement weather, concerts are moved indoors. Check Strathmore’s Facebook page or visit strathmore.org for up-to-date information.

Capacity for this event will be limited if the show moves indoors. Seating will be first-come, first-served.
