THE UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY GLEE CLUB has achieved prominence as one of America’s premier choral ensembles. In addition to stand alone choral performances and support to the Brigade of Midshipmen, the Glee Club sings masterpieces of choral-orchestral literature combining with the nation’s leading orchestras. They have performed in most of the nation’s finest concert venues—from Copley Symphony Hall and Meyerson Symphony Hall to Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
Notable appearances include the dedication ceremony and anniversary of the Pentagon Memorial, the Ronald Reagan Freedom Award, the Commissioning of the George H. W. Bush Aircraft Carrier, the Inaugural Concert “We Are One” performed on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for a live audience of over half a million, JFK 50th Commemorations, and the Kennedy Center Honors, to name only a few.
Performing in such a variety of public venues highlights the incredible opportunities offered by attending the Naval Academy and presents midshipmen to the public at the highest level of professionalism as ambassadors for the United States and its Armed Forces.
It is with honor, pride, and distinction that the Glee Clubs represent the United States, the Navy and Marine Corps, and the United States Naval Academy.
