NatPhil and the award-winning Cantate join forces to celebrate 40th years of two staples of the arts in Montgomery County. Cantate Artistic Director and former NatPhil Associate Conductor Victoria Gau leads NatPhil, Cantate and four exceptional soloists in a full-scale production of Verdi’s Requiem. Soprano Amber Monroe possesses “a magnificent instrument.” Magdalena Wór “has that kind of velvety rich mezzo that makes you want to follow her anywhere.” Rafael Moras “brings romance and heartbreak with his soaring tenor tones.” And Operatic Bass Zaikuan Song, known for his majestically resonant voice and keen dramatic, rounds out this impressive quartet of talented vocal artists.
