CityDance is a leading nonprofit dance institution serving the national capital region. At our studio and community sites located across the national capital region, CityDance trains young dancers for professional careers, nurtures talent and achievement through dance, and works to advance the field of professional dance. We further our mission through three divisions:
CityDance Conservatory: Developing the next generation of dance artists and innovators through professional training for 250 students ages 7 - 20. Students have won awards at international ballet competitions, graduates are attending prestigious dance programs including the Royal Ballet School and Julliard, and alumni are performing professionally worldwide. Strathmore is home to the Conservatory’s programs.
CityDance Studios: Offering high-quality and enriching classes, programs and workshops for kids, teens, and adults at its locations across the DC Metro region.
CityDance Presents: Bringing acclaimed national and international dance companies to small and large performance venues across the DC Metro area and supporting local choreographers in the creation, production and performance of new works.
