As Strathmore's resident dance education partner, CityDance Center offers dance and fitness classes for youth and adults and serves as the home to resident dance company CityDance Ensemble. Founded in 1996, CityDance Ensemble, Inc. is an award-winning professional modern dance company, dance education provider, and dance-on-camera filmmaker.

CityDance Ensemble has earned a reputation as "Washington's preeminent modern dance company,” (The Washington Times) bringing excellence in dance to both the stage and studio. CityDance Center is committed to providing dancers and athletes of all ages with the highest quality dance education while cultivating a diverse community of dancers, educations, and dance enthusiasts.

The CityDance Center offers a space of unprecedented elegance with three state-of-the-art studios and live accompaniment for many classes. Providing dance training for students from 18 months – 80 years, the Center offers more than 70 classes each week. Students can experience ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, African, Flamenco, Pilates, yoga, and more —plus participate in master classes, repertory classes, performance workshops, and health & fitness programs. The Center also offers the CityDance Select program, an intensive training curriculum for serious dancers ages 10-18 who want to be challenged to meet their full dance potential.
